Dental veneers

Our facets

What is it?

Thin porcelain, ceramic or acrylic shells can be used to improve the appearance of chipped, stained, irregularly shaped or badly spaced teeth. Dentists also use them for large fillings. Dental veneers are porcelain shells permanently bonded to your teeth.

The big question

Why have dental veneers?

Dental veneers are used to change the shade of your teeth, in cases where traditional teeth whitening is no longer sufficient.

Dental veneers are also used to modify the shape of teeth. Does the size and shape of your teeth not suit you? Our dentists can change this with veneers.

They can also be used to improve the alignment of your teeth, notably by filling gaps.

We use two types of material for false teeth. We can customize veneers in composite or ceramic.

Preparation and Initial Health

The installation of veneers requires a sound foundation. Before any work is carried out, we perform a thorough cleaning and a professionalprofessional dental hygiene to prepare the enamel. If our diagnosis reveals deep cariesit will be precisely treated beforehand to ensure the longevity and comfort of your new teeth.

Complete aesthetic rehabilitation

As part of an overall renovation, veneers can be perfectly integrated into a prosthetic prosthetic work prosthetic work. If a tooth is missing, we can combine veneers with a single tooth implant. This synergy harmonizes volumes and shades for an invisible, natural final result.

Porcelain laboratory technology

To perform this technique, our dentists take an impression of the tooth, then send it to a laboratory that prepares a custom porcelain veneer. On your second visit, we fix the veneer with a cement specially designed to ensure impeccable hold.

Composite chair technique

This approach enables veneers to be applied in a single session, using a material called “composite resin”, widely used in dental aesthetics. The results are most satisfying.

Frequently asked questions

Any questions?
We have the answer

On average, ceramic veneers cost between 1,200 and 1,800 euros per tooth, while composite veneers cost between 500 and 900 euros. The total cost often decreases with the number of teeth treated. A personalized estimate is provided during the initial consultation with Ares Dental.

The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic for the preparation stages. The final installation is painless. Some patients experience a slight sensitivity to cold for a few days after preparation, which quickly disappears.

Ceramic veneers last an average of 15 to 20 years with proper maintenance. Composite veneers last 5 to 8 years, but have the advantage of being directly repairable in the office in the event of fracture.

Untreated bruxism is a relative contraindication. If you clench or grind your teeth, your practitioner will first assess the severity of the bruxism and may recommend the fabrication of a protective splint before veneers are placed. More resistant materials may also be considered.

The tooth whitening acts on the color of existing teeth without altering their shape. Veneers modify color, shape, size and apparent alignment. If your teeth are just stained, bleaching is often sufficient and less invasive. If you also have shape problems, or if whitening is not enough (tetracycline stains, fluorosis), veneers are the right solution.

Veneers are mainly applied to the front teeth (incisors and canines), the ones that are visible when you smile. An analysis of your smile will determine the number of teeth to be treated for a harmonious, natural result.
