Prevention: why consult regularly?

Regular dental check-ups can detect and treat problems before they become painful or costly.

At Ares Dental, we recommend a check-up every 6 to 12 months, depending on your risk profile. Professional scaling, reimbursed by the CNS twice a year, removes tartar that daily brushing cannot reach. It prevents gingivitis and progression to periodontal disease requiring more complex treatment.

Comprehensive care for the whole family

Ares Dental offers much more than general dentistry.

During your scaling session, your children can consult our specialized pediatric dentist for their annual check-up. If a gum problem is detected, our team will refer you directly to periodontology without making you run from one practice to another. If a tooth needs to be replaced after extraction, our implant surgeons take over immediately. Everything under one roof to simplify your care.

We have the answer

To keep your teeth healthy, here are a few essential tips:

  1. Regular brushing: Brush your teeth at least twice a day for two minutes with a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste.
  2. Flossing: Use dental floss daily to remove plaque and food residues between teeth where the brush can’t reach.
  3. Rinse with mouthwash: Use an antiseptic mouthwash to reduce oral bacteria and freshen breath.
  4. Balanced diet: Limit your intake of sugars and starches, which can cause tooth decay. Eat foods rich in calcium and vitamins to strengthen your teeth.
  5. Hydration: Drink plenty of water, especially after eating, to help flush out food residues and acids.
  6. Regular dental check-ups: Have regular dental check-ups, at least once a year, for professional cleanings and early detection of dental problems.
  7. Avoid tobacco: Don’t smoke and avoid tobacco products, which can stain your teeth and increase the risk of gum disease and oral cancer.
  8. Protect your teeth: If you play contact sports, wear a mouthguard to prevent dental injuries.
  9. Avoid teeth grinding: If you tend to grind your teeth, see your dentist about getting a night splint to protect your teeth from wear.

Yes. Conservative treatments (scaling, cavity treatment, root canalization) are reimbursed by the CNS at 88% of the conventional rate for adults, and 100% for children under 18.

Scaling is covered at 100% up to twice a year. At Ares Dental, PID (Paiement Immédiat Direct) means you pay only your co-payment directly at the surgery, without having to pay in advance.

Third-party payment – known as PID (Paiement Immédiat Direct) in Luxembourg – is a system that allows the patient to pay only the part not reimbursed by the CNS at the time of consultation. Ares Dental has been applying PID since 2025: you pay only your co-payment (12% for routine care), and the CNS pays the rest directly to the practice. No need to pay in advance and wait for reimbursement.

The standard recommendation is 1 to 2 visits per year for an adult in good oral health. The CNS also covers scaling twice a year, which coincides with this recommended frequency. High-risk patients (diabetes, smoking, history of frequent caries) may require more frequent check-ups.

Yes. All employees working in Luxembourg are affiliated to the CNS and benefit from reimbursements from the Luxembourg health insurance scheme, whether they live in Luxembourg, France, Belgium or Germany. Ares Dental welcomes cross-border commuters in their own language (French, German, English, Portuguese), and helps patients to prepare documents for their complementary French or Belgian mutual insurance.

Devitalization (or endodontic treatment) involves removing infected or necrotic dental pulp from inside the tooth, cleaning and disinfecting the root canals, then sealing them to prevent re-infection. This treatment preserves a tooth that would otherwise have had to be extracted. It is performed under local anaesthetic and is reimbursed by the CNS at 88%.
